RUSS PLAYER

Captain Russ has 16 years’ experience skippering charter boats in Far North Queensland. Considered one of FNQ’s most experienced barramundi and bluewater guides/skippers, Russ was then drawn to the superyacht industry.

He has captained Emerald Lady for the last four years and holds a vast knowledge of both the vessel and the Great Barrier Reef in this remote part of Australia.

Chief Engineer | Dive Master HAMISH MCDONALD

Hamish, who calls Cairns his home port, began his sea journey on trawlers out of school before being drawn to the dive industry. Spending several years as both dive crew (he is a certified PADI Dive Master) and as captain of dive vessels, Hamish later ventured to the Mediterranean where he further developed his skills on superyachts up to 60m in length.

Hamish holds both a Master 4 and a MED1.

Coxswain / Fishing Guide

DARCI MAUNDER

Darci grew up in the Port Douglas region, and spent the best part of his youth on the water, or trying to get on the water, fed by a passion for fishing, exploring and boating.  As a Junior he worked as a barramundi fishing guide, and continues to expand his training and experience on board Emerald Lady. Darci holds a Coxswain Grade 1 ticket and his MED2.
